Nominate a Board Director Candidate

Know someone who would strengthen the OSE board? Anyone can highlight a worthy candidate, and self-nominations are welcome too!

Who Can Nominate

Anyone. You need not be a donor or Member to put a name forward, and you may nominate yourself. Tell us who they are and why they fit.

Membership Requirement

Directors must be OSE Members — donors giving at least $1,000/year. Candidates can join after nomination, so nominate first.

What the Board Does

The main governing body of the Open Source Endowment: approves grants, appoints the Executive Director, selects investment strategy, etc. Details in the bylaws.

How Election Works

We review nominations on a rolling basis against OSE's needs — fundraising, investment management, open source expertise — and interview and invite the most promising candidates to join. Directors are elected for a three-year term.
